Ramaswamy Sreenivasan (Rama), is a Ph.D. graduate from the department of Chemical Engineering and Institute for Systems research at the University of Maryland, College Park. Prior to this, he worked as a process engineer at Applied Materials, Santa Clara, CA. Rama has a keen interest in machines, software logic, novel software applications and has extensive hands on experience working with research equipment. In his Ph.D. thesis and his publications, Rama has used online videos to elucidate certain technical aspects of his research work. Such a web-based video reference supplementing a thesis/paper is the first of its kind. He brings with him an effective combination of technical and personal skills, a passion to promote technology amongst the public, a keen business acumen and a commitment to community outreach and education. When not working on his ideas, Rama can usually be found on a tennis court and talking tennis philosophy.
